Waterplay Announces New Sales Manager Role

Posted by waterplayAdmin on May 14, 2018

Kelowna, Canada—May 14, 2018— Waterplay® Solutions Corp., a global manufacturer of aquatic play products, is excited to announce the appointment of Kirk Hutchinson to the role of Sales Manager. Part of a tactical repositioning initiative, this role allows Waterplay to better focus on developing and strengthening the dealer sales channel and target new growth strategies in key markets across the globe.

Hutchinson, who joined Waterplay in 2010, most recently served as a Territory Development Manager for Waterplay in parts of the USA and throughout Australasia. During his tenure in this position Hutchinson maintained a proven track record in developing strong dealer networks and building market penetration strategies. While he will continue his territory management duties in Australasia, the Sales Manager role will see Hutchinson leverage his previous background in corporate training and more than 20 years of sales experience to develop more efficient and progressive support resources for the Waterplay dealer network. Having worked as a sales channel partner for multiple outdoor adventure manufacturers before coming to Waterplay, Hutchinson brings a unique understanding of the expectations of the Waterplay dealer network.

Hutchinson will act as the first point of contact for the internal Sales and dealer teams, working together on growth strategies and market development. He will report to Mike Wright, Director or Sales, who will continue to focus on the strategic development of sales for the organization.

“Kirk has an exceptional ability to listen to partners, understand their needs and see their projects through to success,” Wright says. “His new role positions us to be more effective and efficient as we leverage the strengths of our dealer network to meet increasing demand and opportunity.”

Waterplay looks forward to watching Hutchinson succeed in his new role, supporting Waterplay’s mission of connecting the world through play.
