Wildlife, Nature & Big Splashes

All Waterplayers are welcome to cool off at this amenity-rich, 5,382 sq ft. (500 Metre²) splash park at Symbio Wildlife Park in Sydney, Australia that draws tens of thousands of visitors from Sydney and beyond every year.

For this project our team at ParkEquip worked with the client to create a fun, all-inclusive and relaxing spot for visiting families to use at their leisure during a day out among the animals.

This smartly designed splash pad comes complete with a mega soaker for big splashes, exciting and unpredictable ground sprays, carronades for hand-to-hand water play, a snake spiral tunnel to run through and an assortment of gentle spray features to engage younger Waterplayers.

With the state government’s generous commitment to support the regional tourism industry in New South Wales, this project was awarded $150,000 in funding through the Destination NSW Regional Tourism Product Development Fund. This was a significant factor in ensuring the family-owned and operated Symbio Wildlife Zoo could undertake a project of this scale, which was the largest in the zoo’s 45-year history.

Ultimately, the goal was achieved and exceeded with this gorgeous splash park providing an area for people of all ages and mobility having a completely safe and controlled environment where they can splash about all year around whilst also getting the chance to get up close and personal with some of the world’s coolest animals.
