Garrison’s Splash Pad

Wanting to create a welcoming and accessible play space for children and families of all abilities, the City of Pewaukee decided to combine dry play and aquatic play to create a unique, all-inclusive play space at the Pewaukee Sports Complex.

The Garrison’s Splash Pad is themed around the local environment, with nature-inspired splash pad features that help ground the overall design in the community. The city wanted the splash pad design to blend seamlessly with the Little Tikes dry playground beside it, so Waterplay worked closely with landscape architecture firm Parkitecture, to create a beautiful splash pad design that incorporates the kinds of features the city was looking for.  

A Blowfish, Blue Bottle, and Dew Drop help capture the essence of the natural surroundings of the park, while the Fishin’ Pole and Schooner give kids the opportunity to feel like they’re out on the water as they play on the splash pad. Every feature has ample room around it, making the entire splash pad easily accessible for those with mobility devices, creating an inclusive and dynamic play experience for all ages and abilities.  

Through careful feature selection and great collaboration between all partners involved in the project, installation of Garrison’s Splash Pad went smoothly and the space was opened to the public in late summer 2025. The City of Pewaukee attended the commissioning of the splash pad and were thrilled with the outcome. Beautiful nature theming and a diverse array of features created a splashy play space that compliments the playground next-door and provides families with a great place to have fun and stay cool during the hot summer months.
