Revitalizing a wading pool to a splash pad!Â
When Optisport Zwembad Groenoord started looking to have their existing toddler wading pool revitalized, they turned to Waterplay to transform the old space into a brand-new splash pad! The perfect addition for their younger guests, this zero-depth splash pad was installed in 2021. Â
Requiring far less maintenance than the previous wading pool, the new splash pad offers a variety of gentle spray options, perfect for young waterplayers who are looking for a less-stimulating aquatic play environment. The zero-depth surface is wheelchair accessible and prevents water from pooling, which allows the used water to be collected, disinfected, and then reused. Â
Splashy water features such as the Surf Stones, Water Weavers, and various ground sprays provide a perfect space for the youngest of waterplayers to explore, exercise their curiosity, and most importantly, have fun!

Transformer une pataugeoire en aire de jeux d’eau! Â
Lorsque Optisport Zwembad Groenoord a envisagĂ© de revitaliser sa pataugeoire pour tout-petits, l’équipe s’est tournĂ©e vers Waterplay pour transformer l’ancien bassin en une toute nouvelle aire de jeux d’eau ! InstallĂ©e en 2021, cette aire sans profondeur est devenue l’ajout parfait pour accueillir les jeunes visiteurs.Â
Demandant beaucoup moins d’entretien que la pataugeoire prĂ©cĂ©dente, la nouvelle aire propose une variĂ©tĂ© de jets doux — idĂ©als pour les jeunes Waterplayers qui recherchent un environnement de jeu aquatique moins stimulant. Sa surface sans profondeur est accessible en fauteuil roulant et empĂŞche l’accumulation d’eau, permettant ainsi la collecte, la dĂ©sinfection, et la rĂ©utilisation de l’eau.Â
Des Ă©lĂ©ments aquatiques ludiques comme les Surf Stones, Water Weavers et divers Ground Sprays offrent un espace idĂ©al pour que les plus jeunes Waterplayers puissent explorer, stimuler leur curiositĂ© et, surtout, s’amuser!Â
