Indoor splash pad in an indoor swimming pool!
When the new Aquarena swimming pool was designed in Emmen, the Netherlands, they determined that they wanted an indoor splash pad integrated into the design. Waterplay features can be found both in the splash pad area itself as well as throughout the facility. The splash area overlaps with the paddling pool, while other features surround the edge of the leisure pool. A few Corn Poppy features were even installed by the entrance of the facility itself.
The decision to have splash pad features installed throughout the swimming pool facility creates unique play areas for kids of all ages and abilities. In the splash pad area itself, visitors will find a Discovery Stream, which is an interactive feature that allows young children to discover how the flow of water works. This area also includes a Fun-Brella and Magnif-Eye, as well as several ground sprays that provide a gentle introduction for small children who might be learning to love the water. An Activator gives children the ability to control the operation of the splash pad themselves.
In the adjoining paddling pool area, a Poppy Bud, Wiggly Jr., and a slide that provide endless entertainment for the smallest of waterplayers.
Catering to older children who might be looking for bigger splashes, several larger splash pad features were added to the perimeter of the leisure pool. Some of these features include the Sneaky Soaker 2, Corn Poppy, Morning Grass, and several ground sprays.
The decision to incorporate so many fantastic Waterplay splash pad features into the overall Aquarena swimming pool design has created a dynamic aquatic facility that will provide fun for the entire family, all year round!

Aire de jeux aquatiques intérieure dans une piscine intérieure!
Lors de la conception d’une nouvelle piscine à Emmen, aux Pays-Bas, il a été décidé d’intégrer une aire de jeux aquatiques intérieure au cœur même du projet. Les éléments Waterplay se retrouvent non seulement dans l’espace dédié aux jeux aquatiques, mais aussi dans l’ensemble de l’établissement. L’aire de jeux aquatiques est intégrée à la pataugeoire, tandis que d’autres éléments sont installés autour de la piscine récréative. Quelques éléments Corn Poppy ont même été placés à l’entrée du complexe!
Ce choix d’intégrer des éléments de jeux aquatiques dans toute l’installation crée des zones de jeu uniques pour les enfants de tous âges et de toutes habiletés. Dans l’aire de jeux principale, les visiteurs découvrent un Discovery Stream, un élément interactif qui permet aux jeunes enfants d’explorer le fonctionnement de l’écoulement de l’eau. Cet espace comprend également un Fun-Brella, un Magnif-Eye, ainsi que plusieurs jets au sol qui offrent une douce initiation aux tout-petits qui apprennent à aimer l’eau. Un Activator permet aux enfants de contrôler eux-mêmes le fonctionnement de l’aire de jeux.
Dans la pataugeoire attenante, un Poppy Bud, un Wiggly Jr. et un toboggan assurent des heures de divertissement pour les plus jeunes amateurs d’eau.
Pour répondre aux attentes des enfants plus âgés à la recherche de sensations plus éclaboussantes, plusieurs grands élémentsontétéinstallés tout autour de la piscine récréative. On y trouvenotamment le Sneaky Soaker 2, le Corn Poppy, le Morning Grass et plusieurs jets au sol.
L’intégration de tous ces merveilleux éléments Waterplay dans le design global de la piscine Aquarena a donné naissance à un complexe aquatique dynamique qui garantit du plaisir pour toute la famille, toute l’année!
